As our company grows, we are looking to expand our estimating team with a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator Specialist.
Position Summary:
The Estimator Specialist will be responsible for reviewing project scopes, conducting site assessments, gathering vendor pricing, and preparing accurate labor and material cost estimates. This role is essential in helping us deliver competitive and profitable proposals to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze architectural drawings, scopes of work, and site photos to develop accurate project estimates
- Conduct site visits when necessary to gather data and assess project conditions
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain current pricing and availability
- Prepare detailed breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and timelines
- Assist with proposal preparation and scope clarifications
- Work closely with the project management and operations teams to support project planning and execution
- Update pricing databases and track cost trends regularly
- Identify potential cost-saving strategies and value-engineering options
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential and commercial renovations
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Familiarity with construction materials, labor rates, and project timelines
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
